Frequently asked questions

Rates, licences, bonds and pick ups — the answers to what renters ask us most. Anything missing, just call the depot.

Making a booking

What is your cancellation policy?
  • More than 14 days’ notice — no charge
  • 14 days or less — 20% of the booking
  • 7 days or less — the full rental charge
How do I make a booking?

Book online in about two minutes — choose your car, pick your dates and confirm. You can also call the depot and we will arrange it with you over the phone.

Rates, charges & damage cover

How does a rental day work?

Rentals run on a 24-hour basis. Hire a car from 9am for one day and it is due back at 9am the next day. There is a one-hour grace period before late charges apply.

  • Up to 1 hour late — no charge
  • 1–3 hours late — half-day charge
  • More than 3 hours late — one full day’s charge

Late charges also apply to any extras on the booking, such as excess reduction or child seats.

Is a security bond required?

Yes. A refundable bond is taken at pick up and released when the car comes back in the condition it left in. Our team will talk you through the amount for your vehicle when you book.

What insurance is included, and what is the excess?

Every car comes with comprehensive insurance as standard. An excess still applies — that is the standard liability on the vehicle and the maximum you would pay in the event of an accident.

An administration fee of $110 applies in the event of an accident. You can reduce the excess by adding damage cover to your booking.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. We tell you about every rate and charge upfront, so you arrive at the counter knowing exactly what to expect. No airport concession fee, no card surcharge, no premium location fee and no vehicle registration recovery fee.

Licence requirements

What are the minimum age and licence requirements?

The minimum age is 22. You must hold a full, valid driver licence and cannot be on probation or provisional conditions. You will be asked to present the physical licence at pick up.

Can I use a foreign driver licence?

Yes. If your licence is not in English you will need to bring an official translation or an International Driving Permit alongside it.

What do I need to bring to pick up the car?

A valid driver licence and a valid Mastercard or Visa credit card. We do not accept AMEX. The driver must be present and both the licence and the card must be in the driver’s name.

Options & extras

Do you provide child seats and boosters?

Yes. In Western Australia children aged 7 and under must travel in an approved seat. We can supply baby seats and boosters — costs are shown with the optional extras at checkout, or ask the team and we will match the right seat to your child.

Pick up, drop off & transfers

Where do I pick up the car?

From our South Guildford depot at 5/51 Great Eastern Highway, a few minutes from Perth Airport. Send us your flight details and we can arrange an airport pick up at no extra cost.

What is the fuel policy?

Return the car with a full tank. If it comes back short we refuel it and charge the fuel plus a refuelling fee, so topping up on the way back is always the cheaper option.
